Board and setup
Pieces and movement
- The piece set used on the board is: shogi pawn (r), custom piece 4 (b), custom piece 2 (f), custom piece 1 (l), custom piece 3 (g) and custom piece 5 (j).

Winning and losing
- An extinction rule is active: reaching 1 remaining piece(s) j causes a loss for the side to move.

- Stalemate is scored as a loss for the side to move.
Draws and adjudication
- There is no automatic n-move/50-move draw rule.
- Position repetition is adjudicated after 3-fold repetition as a loss for the side to move.
