Pieces and movement

  • The piece set used on the board is: king (k), rook (r), bishop (b), knight (n) and pawn (p).

Move rules

  • Pawn double-step moves are disabled.

Drops and hands

  • Pieces in hand can be dropped back onto the board. Droppable pieces are: rook (r), bishop (b), knight (n) and pawn (p).
  • Captured pieces go to the capturer's hand.
  • Drops of pawn (p) are restricted on files that already contain 0 such piece(s).

Promotion

  • Promotions are available in the configured promotion zones. The the promotion region for White is all squares on rank 7 and the promotion region for Black is all squares on rank 1.
  • The pieces that can promote are: pawn (p).
  • Promotion choices are both sides: knight (n), bishop (b) and rook (r).
